PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The State Archives of Fermo holds several volumes within its notarial collections featuring bindings made from parchment documents inscribed with ancient Hebrew scripts. Given the interest previously shown by Italian and international scholars in these historical sources, their recovery is essential to ensure greater accessibility and understanding. The project entails recovering the bindings while simultaneously restoring the notarial registers' bindings, utilizing new parchment covers. The bindings will be restored and subsequently digitized, making them available for consultation in the reading room and online.
